invite them up

After closing out the 5th Annual Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival, we caught up with Bobby Tisdale, the voice of Zeke on Bob’s Burgers and brains behind the long-running stand-up comedy show Invite Them Up.

A small crew, consisting of myself and two cinematographers, headed backstage at The Bell House for an intimate conversation with Bobby. Fresh off of hosting another sold out Invite Them Up, the excitement in the room led to a 30-minute chat full of fond memories and fun times.

Using our footage and archival photos from Marianne Ways, I cut together a short video of the show’s origins, the now-famous comedians and musicians that performed at Rififi, and how the show’s lasting legacy continues on today.
